Remember The Night

I think this might now be my favorite holiday film.  Barbara Stanwyck will always be known for other more famous films, but she plays this role perfectly.  The ending is perfect.

Notorious

Somehow I had forgotten how great this film is.  Possibly the most underrated of the Hitchcock films.  Roger Ebert even calls it Hitchcock's best.

City of Life and Death

Devastating and emotionally draining.  One of the best war movies I've ever seen.

Rapture

Hypnotizing.  Dream-like.  Patricia Gozzi - amazing.

Donkey Skin

Absolutely charming.  I wish family films today were as smart as this.

An oddly entertaining film.  Kinda falls apart at the end, but in a charming sort of "noir" way.....
